Top 10 Guitarists

To create a top ten list of the most talented guitarists is a very difficult task. The classification and the list itself are of course subjective. But one thing is sure, all the artists have something in common and this is the talent to play the guitar, even it is acoustic, classical, electric or bass. They simply transform their feelings in musical notes and the instrument itself turns into a feeling translator. There are thousands of remarkable guitarists in the history of music.

One of the famous masters of electric guitar is Jimi Hendrix. The relationship between Hendrix and his instrument is so strong. With his innovative spirit, the great artist continually rediscovered new limits of the guitar sound. Jimi was well known by his preference for the “wah-wah” guitar effects pedals.

The gypsy guitarist, Django Reinhardt played the guitar with a frenzy never heard or seen before. He survived a caravan fire, but remained with two paralyzed fingers. Still, he was able to amaze the public with his gypsy-jazz sound.

Kirk Hammet, proud member of Metallica, is considered to be fastest guitarist. Jimmy Page completely changed the evolution of Led Zeppelin. He invented the “reverse echo” technique.
