Full HD TV – The technical specifications for a full High Definition LCD TV must include a 1080p as its pixel count. The contrast ratio will be listed as 1920 by 1080p. This 1080p designation signals that a television set can fully and completely broadcast the highest level of high definition broadcasting without reducing it to a smaller pixel count. If you play a high definition DVD or blu-ray disk, a full HD LCD TV can claim the best possible LCD picture. In the same manner, if you check the technical specifications for a full High Definition plasma set, you will also find a pixel count of 1080p. The contrast ratio will be listed as 1920 by 1080p. Again, this is the only way to ensure a true high definition picture without loss of pixel count.

High definition DVDs and their competitors, blu-ray disks, can be shown on full HD plasma sets without changing the original contrast rations.

HD Ready – Full HD LCD TV sets and full High Definition plasma sets are different from those that are simply HD ready. HD ready is indicated by a 728i or 1080i pixel rate. HD-ready sets have tuners to adjust for the difference between their pixel rates and High Definition broadcasting. These sets are reported to have good pictures for their price range and compare favorably with full HD plasma sets and full High Definition LCD TV sets.

Set Sizes – LCDs dominate the market because they come in sets as small as 10 inches and increase in size to family home theater size. Full High Definition LCD TVs often include the 42 inch TV. Full HD LCD TV’s are considered ‘high end’ compared to their HD ready counterparts. Plasma set manufacturers sometimes offer a 42 inch TV, which may or may not be a full High Definition plasma set. However, plasmas are most often in giant sizes, such as 50 inches and 60 inches. They are primarily for home theater use. Full HD plasma sets are “high end” compared to similarly-sized HD ready plasma sets. Already generously large, the 42 inch TV is the smallest size where both plasma and LCDs are available.

HD sets – One obvious difference between analog and full High Definition TV broadcasting is the aspect ratio. This is the width by height of a display. Analog broadcasting had an aspect ratio of four inches of width to three inches of height. HDTV broadcasts in a 16:9 ratio. You can expect a full HD LCD TV to be as wide as it is tall. It is thinner due to its streamlined technology, and its thinness is not a way to determine if a set is HD ready or a full High Definition LCD TV. Due to aspect ratio, full HD plasma sets and HD ready plasma sets may be as wide as they are tall. They are also thinner due to their technology, and thinness cannot be used as a guide to HD capabilities.

HDTV Converters – High Definition TV converters can be used with analog televisions, also known as CRTs or crystal ray cathode sets. These HDTV converters are digital tuners that adjust for the switch-over to digital broadcasting. With an High Definition TV converter, an analog set can deliver superior pictures to its analog ones. An HDTV converter is essential to receive signals on analog sets now that almost all signals are digital.

HDTV Online – If you watch television online, you will notice that some shows are offered as HD Online. This simply means that if your computer can broadcast at the 1080p rate, the picture will be full High Definition. If your computer cannot broadcast at this rate and must convert the rate to a lower pixel setting, then the computer can be said to be HD ready.

How do you tell modern televisions apart? What does it mean to be HD ready? What does it mean to have full HD TV?

Full HD – A full High Definition plasma set should have a pixel count that is labeled 1080p. Generally it has a contrast ratio designation as 1920 by 1080p. Not to long into here vacation Hannah needs to help save the town from a deceitful developer. While she is trying to help the town she is also trying to keep the reporters from finding out her secret about living a duel life as Hannah Montana. When the stress begins to get too much for her, she starts to think about ending the scared and letting the world in on her secret. It is a difficult consideration and she recruits the help from her family and friends to arrive at a decision. That’s all I will say, if you want to know what see decides you will have to purchase the DVD!

The Hannah Montana movie delivers everything that fans have grown to expect from Miley Cirrus. The film is just as cute and clever as the television series and also has many great songs for you to enjoy. This film fills the screen with some with laughter and controversy. Geared towards a teen and preteen crowd, this film is just under two hours. With the charm and wit of Hannah it is an entertaining movie experience for the whole family.

Have you heard the buzz about the new Tim Burton bazaar but entertaining movie, “Alice In Wonderland”, that is in the works right now? It is in production and is projected to be one of his best films ever made.

The public is anxious to see any bit of footage of this 3-D adaptation although it will be some time because the move is still in the making. Word is that Tim is working on a semi-trailer that we all anxiously await that will give us a glimpse into Alice’s bazaar world.

It has been said that the semi-trailer is a massive undertaking because the movie is shooting live as we speak. Tim explained it this way, “It is a technological challenge of blurring the lines between live-action, motion-capture and animation which is proving to be a massive undertaking. It is a real mysterious puzzle that is frightening and exciting at the same time.”

Some of Tim Burton’s bazaar but entertaining films include Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Beetle Juice, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd and Batman Returns.

The infamous Alice, played by Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, is now 17 and lands at a boring high society party on a Victorian estate to which she cannot wait to leave. So she wanders off only to be confronted by the White Rabbit played by actor Michael Sheen, who whisks her away to the fantasy land of Wonderland.

But this place is quite different from the Wonderland we all know. Ruled by the evil Red Queen of Hearts, Helena Bonham Carter, whose favorite retort is “off with their heads”, overthrows the good sister, The White Queen, played by Anne Hathaway.

There are some dark spins on this movie that only Burton himself can conjure up, like the evil Red Queen’s moat filled with bloody heads. But it all adds to the suspense, thrill, fun and entertainment this classic movie will offer.

You will be taken on a journey of Burton’s surreal interpretation of fantasyland with huge, colorful talking flowers taken from the talkative trees in the Wizard of Oz, to the garden of large topiaries shaped like giraffes, butterflies and dodos taken from Edward Scissorhands film.

Stroll through a forest of giant mushrooms and meet the enigmatic Caterpillar, Alan Rickman and the fierce Jabberwock, Christopher Lee.

Burton gives his long time friend Johnny Depp, the bazaar, looney and colorful role of the Mad Hatter, who is brilliant as always.

Alice has to overcome major hurdles to help her friends reclaim their world back from the evil Red Queen, who is also Tim Burton’s fiance. Watch for the movie due in theaters March 5, 2010.

But it was fun! A sales rep then told me I should enter their “fastest drummer” contest. When I asked him when it was, he said, “THE NEXT NIGHT”! After trying to bow out, I eventually said “okay”. Since I’ve always disliked “musical competitions” I don’t know why I agreed? So, I decided I wouldn’t tell anyone (including my wife) about it – talk about being insecure!
